Every dish in my flat is done...

except for the coffeecup I am drinking out of, and the sink is clean. Mark this one down on your calendars.

On a slightly more serious note, I am working right now, for $8/hr and no benefits, and I don't know for how long, since this boss also has personal space issues and, just as bad or worse, likes to play headgames and put people down in public, thinks "training" means "How come you haven't figured out this utterly-unfamiliar machine/software yet?" doesn't understand the terminology of his own industry, gets impatient when you try to figure out what he's asking, etc etc etc. And boasts that we're his 401K plan. And asks me why I don't drive, over and over again, and it doesn't register that yanno, $8/hr = can't afford car. And the production manager likes to play bizarre little dominance games of her own. So. Who knows when I will walk out of there, with or without a rant? We could make a pool.

On an even more serious note, thank you all from Across the Pond in helping me understand my own backstory!

Whether tragedy or farce, all this has happened before, from a few months back, in Australia. (Fannish/Political blog, but not a Fandom instance.)

And finally, words of wisdom from Cordelia Vorkosigan, Brothers in Arms, which I was reminded of by a sig line on a webcomic forum this am:
"You are what you do. Choose again, and change."
